Step by step

1. Speak to Lucien at the Flying Horse Inn and agree to find the Staff of Armadyl. He gives you his pendant.
2. Climb down the ladder northeast of Ardougne into the Temple of Ikov.
3. Wear Lucien’s pendant and pass through the door into the Room of Fear.
4. Bring a lit candle down the stairs. Cut the spider webs with a knife or sharp weapon and pick up the Boots of Lightfootedness.
5. Go back up the stairs and head north into the skeleton chamber.
6. Wear the Boots of Lightfootedness to cross the fragile bridge. Open the door and take the loose lever.
7. Find the trapped lever north of the skeletons. Choose Searchfortraps before pulling it to unlock the ice spider cave.
8. Enter the ice spider cave, pass the ice spiders, and collect ice arrows. Taking arrows returns you to the cave entrance.
9. Use the loose lever on its bracket by the Fire Warrior’s door, then open the door.
10. Equip ice arrows and a yew or magic bow. Defeat the Fire Warrior of Lesarkus with ranged attacks.
11. Pass the unlocked door and give Winelda 20 ordinary limpwurt roots to teleport across the lava.
12. Take the shiny key if you want to use the alternative exit north of McGrubor’s Wood.
13. Push the odd looking wall to enter the Guardians of Armadyl chamber. Choose whom to support.
14. To support the Guardians, remove Lucien’s pendant, speak to a Guardian, and take the Pendant of Armadyl. Wear it and defeat Lucien near Edgeville.
15. To support Lucien, keep his pendant equipped, take the Staff of Armadyl, and give it to Lucien near Edgeville.

The game journal confirms quest completion and the first conversation. Game progress can take up to five minutes to appear while you are logged in. Mark the remaining steps as you do them; the game does not save every substep.
